Friday Scrabble Group

The Friday Scrabble Group meets at the Indoor Bowls Club, Burton Street, Peterborough, every Friday from 11:00am to 1:00pm throughout the year.

To play Scrabble, you must become a Social Member of the Bowls Club. The current membership fee is £20 per year, which also entitles you to use the club’s facilities at any time (excluding the bowling greens).There is a one off payment of £10 for a key card for entry to the premises .There are no additional fees to pay.

The club has vending machines providing hot drinks and snacks should you need some refreshment, and there is ample parking available.

We are a friendly, non-competitive group and play a relaxed, informal game with dictionaries permitted throughout. We normally play two games, either in pairs or in groups of three if there is an odd number of players. Partners for the first game are drawn at random, and we then swap partners as each game finishes.

New players are very welcome and are invited to attend a free taster session before deciding whether to join.

Online Scrabble

We also run a fortnightly online Scrabble game on Monday evenings at 7:00pm throughout the year.

Games are played via Zoom and last approximately one hour.
