Foto Friends

Group Description :
The Foto Friends Group share an enjoyment of capturing photographic images and want to improve our skills. We range in experience from beginners to skilled enthusiasts, and use compact, bridge and DSLR cameras. There is a rapidly icreasing use of the camera facility within most mobile phones and Foto Friends welcomes new members who want to improve their photo skills using this technology.
The group meets on second Thursday of each month from September till August. The proposed programme will explore a range of photographic techniques and then encourage members to demonstrate how they have incorporated those techniques into their latest photographs in a themed monthly challenge.   Members photos are now shown digitally using a projector. Members are asked submit their photos electronically by attaching a .JPG file to an e-mail and send it to the group leader. This is one of the very few photographic groups that is non-competitive The photos shown are critiqued by group members and everyone is encouraged to participate. Members are asked to bring their cameras to each meeting as we try to provide some practical work at each meeting. There is an annual charge to cover hire of hall, refreshments and other incidental expenses. The charge is dependent on the number of members but for the year Sept 24 to Aug 25 will be in the region of £25 per member
