We meet every Thursday, come rain or shine (mostly the latter), and walk around 4 to 5 miles. The walks start within about a 20-mile radius of Peterborough. We generally, but not always, meet at a pub where most of us will have lunch together after the walk. Food is pre-ordered before starting the walk at 10.15am. The walk takes about 2 hours, with a water/apple/coffee stop in the middle. Members are requested to organise 2 to 3 walks per year and to make the arrangements for car parking and lunch for these walks. This is done on a voluntary basis and is not compulsory as not everyone has the confidence to lead a walk. We are a very friendly and diverse group that enjoy conversations along the way. Some people share car lifts. Strong footwear (boots) is recommended and rain proof clothing for those occasions when we may experience a downpour.
