• A National Organisation with branches in many towns and cities
  
  
• Peterborough U3A is one of the largest in the UK with over 2000 members
  
  
• Take a look at our Activities by selecting Activities > Groups from the top menu
  
  
• Mainly aimed at people in the area who are semi-retired and retired – but there is no actual upper or lower age limit
  
  
• Our members are made up of those who wish to stay active in mind or body or both after stopping work
  
  
• Cost – just £10 pa (correct at 2025/26) plus any local group charges if applicable
  
  
• We also arrange events that are open to all members such as Christmas Parties, Quiz Nights and 60s – 80s Discos + others as they arise
  
  
• We also hold a monthly meeting with an interesting speaker, free of charge to members
  
  
• Our year runs from September to August – but you can join at any point in the year. Just be aware that some groups progress through a syllabus as the year progresses

• Applications are taken online

• Complete as many fields as you can on the form (Mandatory fields marked with a RED asterisk *
  
  
• Confirm you are not a computer Bot by doing the simple arithmetic problem
  
  
• Choose to Pay Now using an online Credit/Debit Card system (totally secure)
  
  
• Or choose to pay later, in which case our team will contact you later to take payment either by Card or BACS Transfer
  
  
• Our Membership year runs from September to August. There is no Pro rata system. However if you are enrolling after 1st June you will have membership until 31st August the following Year.  

Once your application is confirmed you will receive an email with a member number and a password to access our Member Section of the website

• There are 2 parts to our website
  
  
  • The public display where you are now, which has most of the info you need to research whether you wish to join
    
    
  • The Members Site when you become a member, which has more granular detail to allow members to participate in our activities
    
    
• As a non-member, if you have any more queries use the Contact Us facility on the menu bar. We attempt to respond within 48 hours
  
  
• If you are a member, then log into the Member Section with your Member Number and Password. There is much more detail on groups and activities, along with contact details for each group.
  
  
• If, as a member you have lost/forgotten your member number or password then refer to the Help link on the top menu. There is information on those points and much more.
  
  
• Both parts of the website primarily operate from the top horizontal menu
  
  
• In the body of some pages there are either text links (normally blue and underlined) and/or graphics links – if you see a graphic try clicking it – you will be guided to a relevant page.
